As I left on today’s ride, I thought to myself, “Fred, I know you’re busy with your new life, but come on let’s go for a ride. I have something to show you.” It was good to be out and feel life on the bike. I rode from Auburn out to Black Diamond and never had to put a foot down. Traffic was light, and the roads were wide open in the middle of the day. Rain clouds had moved in. I was rained on a bit. The wind blew the darkest clouds away, and just overcast skies remained. As I came to a stop on the bridge over the Green River Gorge, I said, “Fred, have you ever seen anything so beauti…?” Just then the sun came out.

Fred may you feel the love of all your friends. You are missed by many. May the wind always be at your back. And may you find the smooth roads that make your tires sing.
